The Journeyman Level

Home / Chinese Kung-Fu / Journeyman Level

The Journeyman Level of the Federation Wing Tsun System again consists of four training Stages, however unlike the apprentice level, these contain only one grade each. These are known as Technician Grades and each contains a large amount of detailed information to be absorbed, trained & internalised.

Classical chinese five-element theory is an inherent part of the Federation System right from the start, however it is at the Journeyman Level that these concepts are fully experienced & understood, hence these stages are named after the key elements to which they relate. Note that the Fire Stage is considered to be developed throughout the entire Apprentice Level. Thus the Journeyman & Apprentice Levels together make up all five elements necessary for mastery of the art.
