- Chessington South BR station is right next door to the sports centre, and is in Travelcard Zone 6.
- By Bus
- Aim for Chessington South BR station or the Community College. Main routes are 71, 465, 467, and buses stop directly outside.
- By Bicycle
- Secure, covered bike racks are situated outside the sports centre entrance.
- By Car / Motorbike
- Major road links from M25, A3 and A243. Large free car park shared by the community college. Additional parking on main road if full.
Training schedule
Wednesdays19.30 - 21.30 / Dance Studio / General Classes in Kung-FuA weekly 2-hour training session in our main unarmed combat system taught by Sifu Lee Heron, the Federation head instructor. Classes are split by grade and are suitable for all Kung-Fu experience levels. Members should wear uniform & bring sparring gloves / pads. Chessington is a Surrey town situated between Leatherhead and Kingston-Upon-Thames. It is well known for Chessington World Of Adventures, a family theme park operated by the Tussauds Group. The town has an excellent college-owned Sports Centre which has been home to the UK Kung-Fu Federation martial arts school since July 2002. This was the third school to be opened by Sifu Lee Paul Heron shortly after he chose to devote his working life to the understanding & teaching of the martial arts, and the club is still going strong to this day.

Between 2007 & 2009 the sports centre had a £23M redevelopment, and now boasts some really excellent facilities. Our kung-fu classes take place in the new dance studio, which has full-length mirrors, a sprung wooden floor, air-con, and a built-in sound-system. Our escrima classes take place in the main sports hall, which has tons of space to swing weapons around, and a very grippy floor. The centre also has outdoor training areas which are wonderful on summer evenings, plus a great bar & cafe area to relax in, either before or after training.
