Martial Arts Are A Life-Skill

The skills required to control yourself and to protect yourself are as important as language. Our martial arts are physical communication.

You are here today because your ancestors survived – it’s that simple. The skills they possessed enabled them to negotiate and overcome the perils of their times, an environment which may be very different to the one in which you live today.

Times change, and environments change. However continued survival in any environment is still something which requires many different skills. Gaining possession of these key skills gives you a real survival advantage over anyone who has failed to learn them.

Violence exists in todays modern world just as throughout the pages of history, and so the ability to recognise threats and react correctly in times of confrontation & interpersonal conflict is one of THE most important life-skills a person can acquire.

Violent people are rarely safe, healthy, long-lived people. Contrary to popular belief, good fighting skills have nothing to do with mindless, thuggish aggression or needless violence. Don’t believe the hype!

Studying proper martial arts with good teachers does not make you a violent person, just as learning a foreign language does not change your nationality. However it does make you better equipped to (a) control yourself, and (b) to defend yourself & your loved ones should the need arise. Plus you can tick another key life-skill off your list.

The UKKFF has expertise in armed & unarmed fighting systems. We’re extremely proud to share these skills with good people, and hopefully they will help you survive to become an ancestor yourself.
