Guide For New BeginnersCongratulations! You're now a new student of the UK Kung-Fu Federation. We hope you are enjoying yourself and although everything may seem strange & unfamiliar now it will become easier with practice, and regular training - try to attend at least one class per week.

We understand that joining any new organisation can be daunting, so this page will explain everything you need to do. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact us and we'll help in any way we can.

1. Register

By this we mean create your own free Student Resources account.

As a Federation member you have access to our discussion forums & information database. As you make progress we'll open up more & more areas to you, giving you access to training notes, syllabuses, study plans & theory papers all available for you to download. Initially you'll just have access to the Foundation Stage Resources in your chosen art(s). When you complete this stage & move higher we'll open the next, and so on. Without creating an account you cannot access this information. Create your account now...

2. Get Your Federation Membership

Your annual membership provides insurance cover whilst training with us, gives you a membership book to record your achievements, and gives access to all our seminars & events. Membership is cheap and mandatory once any free trial period has ended. If you've created an account you can download the membership documents from our Student Resources area. More about membership...

3. Get Your Uniform

The only garment that's compulsory for all members is our standard T-Shirt, but as all our uniform items are excellent quality, comfortable & very affordable many students choose to get extra items right away. A Federation T-Shirt is required when attending any class or seminar, so as soon as your free trial period ends you must get one directly. We use the same uniform regardless of which art(s) you are studying with us, so no need to buy different uniform for different arts. View uniform items...

4. Pay Your Tuition Fees

All our General Classes feature a free trial period before fees become due. This gives you time to evaluate the art, the instructor and of course all your new colleagues. Once your free trial ends you must pay for any further tuition on a per-month or per-term basis.

Per-month payments are due on the 1st of each month. It's simpler & cheaper to pay them by Standing Order, and if you've registered you can download new standing order forms from our Student Resources area.

Standing Orders are a regular instruction for your bank to pay us each month. You can cancel this at any time, and unlike a Direct Debit we have NO control over the payment & no access to your bank account. It's totally safe & hassle-free. Read more about tuition fees...

5. Download Your Training Information

If you've registered (above) you can read and/or download lots of helpful information from our Training Resources areas, which will complement your general classes or private lessons. Enter our Kung-Fu Resources or Escrima Resources now.
